Like the Fish Creek Mobile Home Park, each resident owns their own home and pays an affordable lot rent to us.
We have set up a process to upgrade the infrastructure and eventually plan to transition ownership of the property to the residents, in the form of a resident-owned co-op.
Lot rent is $685 and includes water, sewer, and trash pickup and snow removal. Residents are responsible for electric, gas, cable and Internet service.
To help foster the sense of community, YVHA requires that all homes be owner-occupied. All roommates must be approved by YVHA as well as pass credit and background checks before being allowed to move into the park.
If an owner decides to sell their Whitehaven mobile home, their Lot Rental Agreement will expire when the home is sold. Prior to closing, the new potential owner must submit a new Lot Rental Agreement and be pre-approved by YVHA.
