YVHA leveraged $1.6 million dollars to create a $33.2 million dollar development with Gorman & Company, a housing developer, and Deneuve Construction to develop a 90-unit apartment complex on the west end of Steamboat Springs, at 1600 Sunlight Drive, near the intersection of US Hwy. 40 and Elk River Road.

The Sunlight Crossing community is designed to help provide housing to the “Missing Middle” or Moderate Income earners of Routt County. There are also 22 market-rate units. It offers studio, one, two, and three-bedroom configurations and priority was given to people employed in Routt County. Do I Qualify? Residents might include teachers, nurses, firefighters, physical therapists and sworn police officers.

Sunlight Crossing finished construction and leased units via a Community lottery selection process.

Application Process

Residents to Sunlight Crossing were initially chosen through a Community Lottery Process when units became available in July of 2022.

Future tenancy will be filled from our waitlist as apartments become available.
