The Board of Directors govern and control all YVHA business affairs, activities, and property. The board consists of seven to 15 volunteers who must work or live within the YVHA service boundaries.  One of the directors is a member of the Steamboat Springs City Council and one is a Routt County Commissioner. The Steamboat Springs City Council and the Routt County Commissioners jointly appoint the other directors to three-year terms. The Board employs a full-time Executive Director to manage the day-to-day administration and business affairs of the Authority. The Board meets at noon on the second Thursday of every month:
