YVHA leveraged $1.6 million dollars from the 2017 mill levy to create a $33.2 million dollar 90-unit apartment complex with Gorman & Company, a housing developer, and Deneuve Construction.
The Sunlight Crossing community was designed to help provide housing to the “Missing Middle” or Moderate Income earners of Routt County. There are also 22 market-rate units. It offers studio, one, two, and three-bedroom configurations and priority was given to people employed in Routt County. Do I Qualify? Residents might include teachers, nurses, firefighters, physical therapists and sworn police officers.

Application Process
Residents to Sunlight Crossing were initially chosen through a Community Lottery Process when units became available in July of 2022.
