SALARY RANGE: $17 -$20 hourly

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

The Common Area Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the property, vacant units and common areas of the property. This is a part-time, year round position. Working days and hours are flexible.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Our Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining the general appearance of our community.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Clean vacant apartments after move-outs
  • Ensure model apartments are neat and dust-free
  • Maintain a tidy office, hallways, stairwells and common areas
  • Works with the Maintenance Manager to assist with other projects around property as needed

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
  • Requires working in dusty and dirty areas.
  • Ensure all housekeeping services are completed accurately and timely.
  • Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.
  • Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, MSDS, State Health Department, etc.
  • Will assist in cleanliness and safety of lobby, hallways, stairwells and amenity spaces; vacuum carpets, clean windows, shovel snow, remove trash, mop floors, empty trash cans, dust, etc.
  • Will assist in cleanliness of public facilities such as rest rooms entrances, etc. Stock with supplies as needed.
  • Report any needed repairs immediately to Maintenance or Community Manager (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken windowpanes, missing nuts or screws, etc.).
