Yampa Valley Housing Authority Closed on Whitehaven Mobile Home Park on Behalf of Residents
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO. — On November 30th, the Yampa Valley Housing Authority (YVHA) closed on the Whitehaven Mobile Home Park on behalf of the Whitehaven residents. The purchase price was for $3.125 million
“We are grateful that with this purchase we have stabilized the situation and the residents know they can stay in their homes,” said Jason Peasley, executive director of YVHA. “YVHA will not raise rents in 2023 and intends to invest in infrastructure upgrades and work with the mobile homeowners to create a resident-owned cooperative that can take over ownership of the park.”
YVHA received anonymous donations and favorable loans to purchase the property.
